Over 20 Ute Mountain Ute Tribe elders, youth and Tiwahe staff have been working to preserve the language of the Tribe since 2018 alongside The Language Conservancy. The results include a 10,000-word Ute online dictionary, Google Play App and Apple App. Elders recorded the pronunciation of the Ute words to go into the online platforms to make it easier for learners.
